LEED CERTIFICATION
The rigid standards for achieving a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification have added to its prestige and value. The demanding criteria are designed to minimize the impact of construction on the environment and create buildings that are sustainable by prioritizing local, sustainable materials, energy efficiency and responsible operation. The end product of this process are buildings that are not only environmentally friendly, but healthier as well.
Several KSD staff members are LEED Accredited Professionals, having demonstrated proficiency in sustainable site development, water use, energy efficiency, material selection, indoor air quality and innovation in design. |
